A Child's Joy
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—
3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
4Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:1-4).
I am proud of our students and children in our community of faith. They have learned to care for the church on work days. They have worked side by side with our elders and deacons to care for the building. A mother told me her son commented on how much he enjoyed caring for our place of worship.
We are teaching our children how to be part of our community of faith. In the audio visual booth our students run the sound and slide show. They teach the elementary children in Teknon on Sunday mornings. They serve communion and help to lead us in worship.
The children in Teknon are learning the books of the Bible.
They are learning the histories of Israel and acting them out as we learn. There is so much joy and laughter filling our halls. We are teaching our children and students to embrace their faith. They are owning the responsibilities of faith. They are valuable members of our community.
When we bring up our children in the faith and instruction of Christ, we are giving them gifts of life. Jesus teaches us how to live the best life. We are passing that wisdom on to our children so they may live the best life possible.
I want to give my children every opportunity to be successful. The disciplines of faith are leading them to solid mental health, Social structures, and wisdom that leads to life. It gives me joy to see all of our children filled with so much joy from healthy relationships with parents and grandparents.
That has been the goal of our ministry, incorporating our children into our services and faith. We want to give them the tools to succeed in life and the only way is through the teachings of Jesus. I am proud to see them grow and delighted to celebrate their victories in life.
I wanted to take a moment to tell you I am proud of your children and my own. My heart is full and continues to grow.
May you see the joy everyday
May you encourage your family to find the greatest joy in life
May you be as blessed as I am to see our children prosper
In His service and yours,
